Course Overview

This one-day course is designed for plant operatives and groundworkers who use, or are about to use, machine control systems. You’ll learn the essentials of 2D and 3D machine control, including how machines are guided by GNSS or total stations, what data they use, and what checks are needed to ensure accuracy.

The course explains how engineers and operatives work together, the role of data in machine control, and how to recognise potential issues. Practical demonstrations and exercises give you the confidence to use machine control effectively and understand your role in achieving accurate results on site.
